“Mother Earth is the culmination of multiple and diverse energies, which is brought together to create a rich aesthetic experience with a message of harmony and co-existence”. A special assembly was conducted on Thursday, 21st April 2022 by the students of grade 5B to mark the 52nd anniversary of 'The Earth Day'. The assembly started with the prayer “Father we Thank” followed by the “Gayatri Mantra”, news, thought and new word of the day. Students were informed and apprised about the history and importance of the Earth day. Thought provoking quotes and messages were conveyed to children to inform how small steps taken by each individual can contribute to protecting our Mother Earth. Every student of the class was exhilarated to participate in the assembly. It was delightful to listen to the little musicians of the class performing a song on ‘Mother Earth”. A skit was performed by the students that motivated all to keep the planet beautiful. If we decide to do nothing and let things continue as they are, it will just get worse. It concluded with the message that we must realise the danger and start taking steps to save ourselves and our beautiful planet. We must keep it green, just like it has always been. The assembly concluded with the address by the respected Principal ma’am, Ms. Guneet Ohri who motivated and enriched the young minds about the ways in which each one could contribute to safeguard the Planet Earth. A Pledge was undertaken by all Suncitizens to value the generosity of Mother Earth and create an awareness to keep the Earth Clean and Green. The assembly was dispersed after the National Anthem.
